Telegraf ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Telegram client for Apple Watch. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Telegraf application.

1. Information We Collect

Telegraf collects and processes the following information:

• Telegram Account Data: Your phone number is used solely to authenticate with Telegram's servers via the MTProto protocol. We do not store your phone number on our servers after the authentication session is established.
• Messages: Messages are fetched from Telegram's servers and relayed to your Apple Watch in real-time. We do not store, log, or retain the content of your messages on our servers.
• Voice Messages: Voice recordings are temporarily processed for delivery (format conversion from M4A to OGG Opus) and are not stored after transmission.
• Device Token: Your Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token is stored on our server to deliver push notifications. This token does not contain any personal information.
• Photos: Photos are fetched from Telegram and relayed to your watch. They are not stored on our server.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Authenticate your Telegram account and maintain the session
• Fetch and deliver your messages, voice notes, and photos
• Send push notifications for new messages
• Convert audio formats for compatibility between Apple Watch and Telegram

3. Data Storage and Security

• All communication between the Apple Watch app and our server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Communication between our server and Telegram uses the MTProto protocol with end-to-end encryption.
• Telegram session files are stored securely on the server and are required to maintain your authenticated connection.
• We do not store message content, photos, voice recordings, or any other chat data beyond what is needed for real-time relay.

4. Third-Party Services

Telegraf uses the following third-party services:

• Telegram API (MTProto via Telethon): For accessing your Telegram account and messages. Subject to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs): For delivering push notifications to your Apple Watch. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI Whisper: Voice-to-text transcription is performed on the server. Audio data sent for transcription is processed locally and is not shared with external services.

5. Data Retention

• APNs device tokens are retained as long as you use the app and are removed when you log out.
• Telegram session data is retained to maintain your authentication. You can terminate your session at any time by logging out of the app.
• No message content, photos, or voice data is retained on our servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Log out and terminate your Telegram session at any time
• Request deletion of your device token and session data
• Stop using the service at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Telegraf is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
